Faby Novillo

Multidisciplinary Artist - Gallery 10 Owner

From Fabiana Novillo Díaz to Faby Novillo, her creative identity has evolved alongside a life shaped by color, light and intuition. Raised in Buenos Aires, she discovered early that imagination could be both refuge and rebellion. A classical dancer and poet as a mother and an inventive father infused her childhood with movement, language and a quiet but persistent creative drive.

With formal studies in graphic design, art direction and photography, she built a celebrated career in advertising, mastering the visual languages of emotion, image and narrative persuasion. Yet beneath the rhythm of briefs and deadlines, a steadier voice remained, the voice of art, the one that does not sell but reveals.

Art became her way of living and thinking, of raising three artist children and shaping a home where creativity functions as a daily act of love. It is the pulse beneath her logic and the grammar through which she reads the world.

Novillo’s practice spans mixed media, acrylic painting, graphic work, large scale paper based interventions and sculptural pieces created with recycled materials, cartapesta techniques and artist intervened furniture.

Through these mediums she examines structure, fragility and transformation, allowing matter itself to evolve into narrative. In addition to her artistic practice, Novillo expanded her professional scope by founding Gallery118, a space that from the very beginning brought together local and international artists. This platform allowed her to curate exhibitions, promote diverse voices and place high quality works in private collections. The subsequent evolution of that project into Gallery10 Art Space, now a virtual gallery, further broadened her reach. Through Arts on the Move, another initiative she founded, she also develops exhibitions across different venues, creating flexible environments for artists to present their work beyond traditional settings.

Years of travel across four continents deepened her understanding of how each culture names beauty differently and how light shifts its character from one horizon to the next. After long periods between the United States and Argentina, she chose to return to what had always grounded her, creating with freedom and exhibiting her work across Europe, the United States and South America.

That path eventually brought her to Micanopy, Florida, a town where time feels suspended among ancient oaks and quiet histories. There she founded Gallery118, which later grew into Gallery10 Art Space, a place where art finds breath, dialogue and belonging in both physical and virtual form.

From Fabiana to Faby Novillo, a name refined through movement, artistic practice and the deliberate choice to turn life itself into creation.

          IRENE SALLEY

          Oil Paintings

The oil landscapes of Iréne Salley capture the earthy, vibrant essence of North Central Florida through the eyes of a French post-impressionist.  Her swirling strokes and shimmering colors seem to literally swim over the canvas.  In some paintings the local beauty of her Gainesville home is captured in blithe, animated tones.

Each painting explores the boundaries between what is seen and what is imagined to be.

Salley, who was born in Guadeloupe, a small, tropical island in the French West Indies, realized her passion for art when she moved to Paris in 1974.  Her ties to France and the post-impressionist movement that began there can be seen in her spontaneous, emotional style.

Salley's subject matter is now influenced by her American experience.

Like the artists who have influenced her, Salley is in love with color and motion.  Each painting dances with excitement.  Salley is not concerned with capturing the physical details of the image before her.  Rather, she is intent on expressing the emotions those images convey.  She applies her paint in rhythm to the moods within and around her, painting in giant, surging brush strokes or short, rapid swipes of the painter's knife.  She is, in fact, in love with the process of painting almost as much as she is with the subjects and stories of her art.

          VIVIAN ANTONINI

           Acrylic - Multimedia - Installations - Sculptures

Vivian Antonini is a talented and award-winning artist best known for her abstract painting designs. Her work has been described as 2D expressionist paintings with a diversity of materials incorporated into her creations, producing rhythm and dynamism in abstract art.

Her focus is on forms, textures, and colors. She paints with her soul, putting in her works, her mind, spirit, dreams. And even her nightmares. Her projects consist of multiple books or series, with various media grouped around specific themes and meanings. Henri Matisse, Robert Rauschenberg, Willem de Kooning, and Ian Davenport are her influence.

Her goal is to create controversial works of abstract art that will engage the viewer into a discussion, a sense of belonging, and an experience that will spark conversations anywhere. It’s a back-and-forth plays between her and the canvas. Her paintings are open to interpretation by the viewer without a route. Viewers need to find a road and have fun looking at them.

Her creativity has led her to expand her works, designing sculptures and installations of art using diverse materials.

She was born in Venezuela and lived many years in Canada, where she became a Canadian Citizen and since 2006 has called Georgia home.
